Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1983 Renato Perrotta graduated with full marks cum laude 10/10 in Flute at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Buenos Aires. Specialized under the teacher Lars Nilsson direction's, he won several musical contests and examinations which have brought him to be the first flautist in the Orquesta de la Universidad Católica Argentina. He performed as a solo in many occasions with the Orquesta de Avellaneda and with the Orquesta de Cámara de Lanús receiving allways remarkable successes and brilliant reviews. He has recorded works for flute a piano for LRA Radio Nacional (Buenos Aires, Argentine) and he has been chosen to stand for Argentine in the Orquesta Sinfónica Interamericana during the Primer Festival de las Américas.
Once settled in Italy he attends many specialization courses, among them, Masterclass for Flute and Chamber Music by Mario Ancilotti (first flautist in the Rome R.A.I. Orchestra) and Giampaolo Pretto (first flautist in the Turin R.A.I. Orchestra).
In the meanwhile he goes on with his concerts working together with the Symphonic Youth Orchestra of Budrio, the Orchestra da Camera Veronese and the Ente Autonomo Arena di Verona. He has worked with orchestras and has given some solo concerts in many European countries like: Spain, France, Switzerland and ex Yugoslavia.
His flute repertoire grants a privilege to the most important concerts for flute and orchestra and the literature for flute and piano of the 1900s. With regard to the Chamber music he played in several chamber groups like the Ensemble New Contemporary Research, conducted by Marco Tamanini, and the Modern Ensemble by Fabio Neri.
He has been working as Flute and Musical reading teacher since 1987. In the didactic field he has attended some courses concerning didactical methodologies which are not traditonal: Kodaly, Orff, Dalcroze, Willems and above all he has carefully attended the masterclasses on the Suzuki method applied to different musical instruments. Since 1997 he has taught Flute at the Secondary musical school, established by Ministry of the University and Research in the project aimed to the High Art, Musical and Dancing Education.
He has attended a two-year course of specialization at the Conservatorio di Vicenza and in 2006 he has obtained the Degree certificate of 2nd Level in Flute, solo perfomance, getting a first class degree with full marks 110/110. After the Degree concert he discusses the thesis "Severino Gazzelloni e la Rivoluzione del Suono del Flauto" with the teacher Antonio Carraro as Supervisor.
