Born in Buenos Aires, Argentine. In 1983 Renato Perrotta graduated with full marks cum laude 10/10 in Flute at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Buenos Aires. Renato Perrotta has attended the very first courses of Orchestral conducting by Jacques Pernoo in Buenos Aires, and by Emil Tchakarov in Venice; subsequently he attends a Choral conducting course given by Domenico Innominato in Trieste. He goes on with the study of the Conducting technique with the notable Bulgarian orchestra conductor Ludmil Descev, conductor in the Sofia Opera Theatre, getting a full marks diploma in the Music Institute "A. Benvenuti" in Conegliano Veneto in 1991. In this occasion he has conducted his first concert in Italy, dedicated to Benjamin Britten.
He has conducted the Orchestra da Camera Trevigiana and in 1992 he wins an extraordinary acclaim in a concert made on Beethoven's works with the Plovdiv's Philarmonic Orchestra (Bulgary).
He has attended the specialization course for Orchestra Conductors given by Yuri Ahronovitch in Riva del Garda (Trento, Italy) and attended the "Opera Conducting" courses by maestro Corrado De Sessa at the Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna, after having worked together as his assistant on Il Trovatore and Aida perfomances at Odessa Theatre (Ukrainy) and at Jassy Theatre (Romania) for the Cavalleria Rusticana.
He has studied two years with Vram Tchiftchian, improving his conducting technique on the model of the great Eastern European tradition, making a wide symphonic and operatic repertoire. He has contributed as assistant conductor in the Orchestra Filarmonica di Padova for Madama Butterfly, during the Opera Season at the Teatro Verdi in Padua.
During summer 1999 he attends a Conducting psychology course "The Charisma of the Baton", arranged by the Masterplayers International Music Academy Corporation in Lugano (Switzerland), with the contribution of California University.
During the period between 1996-2000, he conducts the Schola Cantorum "J. Foroni", in Verona, and he founds the Orchestra da Camera L'Estro Armonico and the Orchestra Harmonie.
In 2000, he starts off as Opera Conductor in Italy at the Teatro Mancinelli, in Orvieto, with Le Nozze di Figaro, stage director Beppe De Tomasi, sharing at the same time the Laboratorio Lirico Spazio Musica for the building up of the operas: Cavalleria Rusticana and Il Maestro di Cappella, stage director Massimo Scaglione.
Renato Perrotta, as conductor, has recorded a CD entitled Melodie dal mondo (OFH, February, 2009), together with the Orchestra Harmonie. The recording includes the Bolero by M. Ravel, the Villanelle for horn and orchestra by P. Dukas and a selection of pieces of Bizet, Verdi, Kachaturiam, Shostakovich and Piazzolla. During the 61° Festival Shakespeariano-Estate Teatrale Veronese 2009 Renato Perrotta conducts and realizes the scorings of the musical-theatrical play ''Romeo, Giulietta e i motivi dell'amore'', for the first perfomance in Italy at Corte Mercato Vecchio in Verona. The new production is availing of the artistic teamwork between the Orchestra Harmonie and the Impiria Theater.
After the brilliant succes received after the first CD, Renato Perrotta has recorded, as conductor, a second one CD with the Orchestra Harmonie. The album is made of Christmas Classics, entitled Buon Natale e tanta ... Harmonie (OFH, September, 2009). Among the recorded pieces there are: White Christmas by I. Berlin, Stille Nacht ! by F. Grüber and Cantique de Noël by A. Adam.
In september 2010 Renato Perrotta performed as conductor over the prestigious stage of Teatro ''G. Rossini'' of Pesaro during the opening evening of the 63° Festival Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica. The play represented, Romeo, Giulietta e i motivi dell'amore, has been admited 'out of competition' among the best perfomances realized this year in Italy.
